This odious, misogynistic song can be found under many spellings, eg Mein Weib Shlept Sich Mit, Mein weib schlept sich nit, Mein wajb schlept sich mit, Mein weib shelpt sich mit.As you see, it's from the 1922 musical Der rebe hot geheysen freylekh zayn (The rebbe says get happy). It was written by Isidore Lillian and Joseph Rumshinsky.
Originally sung by Sam Kasten (Sam Kestin), it was recorded by others. I particularly like Julian Nathanson's recording (Julius Nathanson) and he sings more of the verses, but he deviates from the printed music.On eBay I saw an Odeon recording by S. Stramer.
